Two of the most popular roller coasters at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee are temporarily closed without set reopening dates, a spokesperson for the amusement park said.

Maxx Force and Raging Bull are both currently shut down for maintenance, the spokesperson said.

The park spokesperson did not specify what maintenance Maxx Force is undergoing but said they do not have a reopening date as of Wednesday.

"We hope to have it back soon," the spokesperson said of the drag racing themed coaster.

Raging Bull is getting a major refresh in the form of "an exciting refresh with a new coat of paint," the spokesperson said.

The fan-favorite ride will be painted in the same hue of orange and maroon as its original paint job.
