BELTON, Texas — The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team has been named in a tie for first place in the American Southwest Conference Preseason Poll, the university has announced.
According to UMHB, the Cru tied with Hardin-Simmons as the top-picked team in the conference after voting by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
UMHB said the men's soccer team finished the poll with 26 points and three first-place votes. The Cru went 10-6-3 overall with a 7-0-1 mark in ASC play last year, winning the regular-season title, the university said.
Hardin-Simmons was reportedly predicted tied for first with 26 points and four first-place votes, having won a conference championship in 2024.
East Texas Baptist was predicted for a third-place finish with 19 point
