PHOENIX — John Nickens, the incoming CEO of Phoenix Children’s, on Wednesday became one a growing number who can call themselves a Champion of Hope during KTAR and Arizona Sports’ Give-A-Thon.

During an interview on KTAR News’ The Chris & Joe Show, Nickens pledged $20 a month ($240 a year) to support patients at Phoenix Children’s, a leading pediatric hospital.

“I want to be a champion,” said Nickens, who is coming to the Valley from New Orleans’ University Medical Center for LCMC Health.
