Jason Holt, the man convicted of murdering two individuals and injuring two more during the Wednesday, May 23, 2013 armed robbery of Down Home Pharmacy in Bean Station has died in prison.
According to Tennessee Department of Correction Public Information Officer Kayla Hackney, Holt died Monday, August 11.
Holt was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murders of Down Home Pharmacy owner and pharmacist Stephen Lovell and customer Richard Sommerville.
Both died as a result of injuries sustained when they were shot by Holt during the robbery.
Pharmacy employees Jan Clift and Alexia Wilson were also shot by Holt during the robbery and survived their injuries.
Holt was serving his sentence at the Northeast Correctional Complex in Mountain City.
