LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man was arrested Tuesday in connection with an assault outside of a downtown Lincoln bar.

Juan Silva, 23, of Lincoln is charged with first-degree assault. His bond was set at $100,000.

About 1 a.m. on May 10, police were called to Barry’s near Ninth and Q streets.

Officers found a 28-year-old man unconscious in front of the bar.

He was admitted to the intensive care unit and Bryan West Medical Center with internal bleeding in his head.

Ten days later, he was also diagnosed with a skull fracture.

Investigators determined that the victim was trying to get back into the bar after being kicked out.

He brushed against Silva, according to an arrest affidavit, in an interaction caught on video surveillance.
