HODGEMAN COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — Three young people were seriously injured in a crash north of K-156 on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 3:25 p.m. at the intersection of 231 Road and T Road, a few miles east of Jetmore. Troopers said a semi truck pulling a trailer failed to yield at the intersection and collided with a pickup.
The semi driver, a 76-year-old man from Hanston, was not injured.
The pickup’s 16-year-old driver and two children, ages 13 and 9, were all taken to hospitals with suspected serious injuries. All three are from Hanston.
The crash remains under investigation.
