GARDEN PLAIN, Kan. (KSNW) - Garden Plain football is a program built on tradition. Head coach Todd Rice is now in his fourth season with the Owls, and this team is built on one major formation: the triple option.

Leading the conference in rushing is the big goal for Rice's group, and this year, his team has some prime pieces to do just that. The Owls return plenty of experience when it comes to the offensive line, but also at the running back position.

Emrick Hayes makes his return after a thousand-plus-yard season last year, as does Pete McGregor. Eli Eck will also get the starting nod at quarterback as he leads the team under center for the first time.
