CLEVELAND — The on-air journey might be over, but Charity Lockhart certainly has nothing to be ashamed off.
The prolific Cleveland vocalist was eliminated from season 20 of NBC's "America's Got Talent" Wednesday night after failing to advance past the quarterfinals . The Garfield Heights native was one of 11 acts who performed during Tuesday's first live show of the year, but on Wednesday's results show, she fell short of the number of fan votes needed to advance to the semifinals.
Lockhart first introduced herself to viewers across the country back in June with her stirring rendition of The Beatles' "Golden Slumber." She was subsequently bestowed the elusive "Golden Buzzer" by judge Mel B, earning her an automatic spot in the live quarterfinals.
