CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — There's growth at Cedar and Lee in Cleveland Heights.

"Yeah, we're very excited to see the building going back up again," says Destiny Burns.

This comes after a massive fire destroyed the unfinished Cedar Lee-Meadowbrook apartment complex — also known at The Marquee at Cedar Lee — on the night of Jan. 24. It took 20 hours to extinguish the flames.

Fire officials confirmed the complex that was 75% finished was "unsalvageable," and demolition of what remained of the structure began in March . Burns, owner of CLE Urban Winery, says all of it took a toll on businesses in the district.

"The fourth quarter last year and the beginning this year was absolutely brutal. It was really, really scary," she told 3News. "It was hard, hard times on this business and on
