NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk Tides (22-23 | 51-65) split a doubleheader with the Charlotte Knights (20-26 | 56-65) on Wednesday night at Harbor Park, taking game one with a walk-off 4-3 win before falling 6-1 in game two.

For many fans, the highlight of the night was seeing a familiar face on the mound. Right-hander Trey Gibson , a Grafton High School product recently promoted from Double-A, made his first appearance at Harbor Park in the nightcap. Gibson earned International League Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing five shutout innings in his Triple-A debut at Jacksonville.

Pitching in a ballpark he once visited as a kid, Gibson came out sharp—striking out two in the opening frame. He talked about pitching in a ballpark he attended as a child.
