Jessica Simpson has released a reflective new single, “Hopeless Romance.” The emotional, country-tinged ballad was written by Simpson with Chris Isaak , JD McPherson, and Teresa LaBarbera, and produced by McPherson.

“I’ve always been in love with love/ I thought that you were too,” Simpson croons on the track. “Believing in a lucid tale/ The way that dreamers do/ Here I go again/ I’ll give us one more chance/ Hopeless romantic/ In a hopeless romance.”

The singer shared the song on social media, thanking her collaborators “for this therapy session.” The track follows her recent single, “Fade,” a boisterous acoustic track that was also produced by McPherson.
