WATERTOWN – The Inland Wetlands Commission continued their review of a long-standing violation at 227 Watertown Road last Thursday. Commissioners first discussed a potential violation at the property owned by James and Victoria Gregorio in spring. The violation cited fill placed in a wetlands or watercourse and removal of a dam resulting in downstream flooding.

A representative of the owner outlined a plan to remove fill from the pond and allow it to dry out in the property’s back yard before using it to create a berm to direct water away from the couple’s pool. The work will repair a 4 ft. by 2 ft. area for a dam, and water will be retained in the pond until it reaches the height of the spillway.
