A crowded Ward 8 byelection race is underway and when voters go to the polls they will have no shortage of choices for their next councillor.

Twenty-six candidates are on the ballot , vying to replace John-Paul Danko, who vacated his city council seat after being elected as the Liberal MP for Hamilton West—Ancaster—Dundas in April’s federal election.

To help electors make their decision on Sept. 22, The Spectator reached out to all 26 candidates to find out more about them, why they believe they should be the next councillor and the most significant issue in the ward.
