PERKINS TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - A man wanted for sexually assaulting a minor in Texas, was taken into custody in Northeast Ohio early Thursday morning.

Perkins Township Police reported the Texas Department of Public Safety requested assistance from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Special Response Team in finding the suspect believed to be in the area.

After troopers figured out where the suspect was, they worked out a plan with Perkins Township Police to take him into custody.

“The operation was successfully executed, resulting in the subject’s arrest without incident,” posted Perkins Township Police.

The name of the suspect has not been released.
