Northwest Iowa hospital shares how they plan to address upcoming Medicaid and Medicare cuts

CHEROKEE, Iowa (KTIV) - Big changes are on the horizon for medical facilities across the nation following cuts to Medicare and Medicaid coverage contained in the “One Big Beautiful Bill.”

“For us, Medicare and Medicaid, like in most rural areas, is 50% or better of the revenues that you generate to do your operation,” said Gary Jordan, CEO of Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee, Iowa.
