New charges against Mayor Eric Adams’ former chief adviser and an unusual incident involving a bag of potato chips and cash are shaking up the mayoral race this week.
Adams’ former aide Ingrid Lewis-Martin is expected to appear in state Supreme Court Thursday to face new charges, according to her attorney. Reports say others tied to Adams’ campaign will also be charged.
But the big story in city politics involves campaign volunteer and former City Hall aide Winnie Greco, who allegedly handed a reporter an open bag of potato chips containing cash. The incident is now part of a federal probe into the mayor’s campaign.
Politico New York’s Jeff Coltin joined “Mornings On 1” Thursday to break down the latest developments.
