KANSAS City Chiefs coach Andy Reid endured a shocking incident when a bullet was fired in his direction.

The Kansas City Star reported that a bullet was fired into his office at the team's practice facility last year.

Reid was working alone in his office at the time.

The bullet shattered the glass in his office and lodged in a wall around 15 feet from where he was sat.

The incident happened shortly after midnight local time on May 4 last year.

The Kansas City Star reported that Reid now has bulletproof glass in his office.

The Chiefs also declined to comment to the outlet.

The report says that three bullets hit the Chiefs facility that night.

One of them struck the third floor and the other hit an air-conditioning unit.
