MULTNOMAH COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - A teenage boy is facing felony charges after leading deputies on a chase early Sunday morning, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday, at about 3:15 a.m., a deputy tried to stop a driver on I-84 near the Wood Village exit. According to the sheriff’s office, the deputy believed the driver was driving under the influence.
The driver did not stop and led deputies on a chase, which ended with spike strips and a pit maneuver.
The sheriff’s office says the car was full of teenagers, two of them were reported as runaways.
The driver, a 13-year-old boy, was arrested for felony elude, reckless driving, and five counts of reckless endangering. The sheriff’s office says he was later released to his grandma.
