CHARLOTTE (PINPOINT WEATHER) -- We’re quiet on this Thursday morning as temperatures sit in the 60s and 70s to kick off the second half of the workweek. Winds are light, and skies are partly cloudy with another seasonable day on the way.

A quick look at the coast shows the impacts of Hurricane Erin being felt in the form of high wave heights reaching 15 feet and a strong storm surge of up to 6 feet. Winds are significant as well, with gusts reaching up to 30 miles per hour.

Hurricane Erin will quickly exit to the north and east as a Category 2 storm and provide some relief for the Outer Banks and lead to improving conditions throughout the day.
