NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio (WJW) – A Cleveland police officer who is under investigation for an OVI crash is expected in court Thursday.
North Olmsted officers believe the off-duty officer was under the influence when he lost control of his vehicle around 3 a.m. Wednesday and crashed inside a pizza shop.
Officers found officer Gary Kane II behind the wheel, police said, with the music blasting and the car still running and in drive while inside Romeo's Pizza on Lorain Road.
The front of the pizza shop was in shambles, the front window shattered.
On the body camera video, you can hear the interaction between police and the driver.
