Glen Powell is booked and busy. The charismatic Hollywood star has risen in the ranks over the last three plus years after roles in Top Gun: Maverick, Hitman, Everybody Wants Some and Twisters. Powell hasn't slowed down with his Running Man remake with director Edgar Wright hitting theaters this November and his heartfelt college football comedy Chad Powers premiering on Hulu on September 30.

Chad Powers builds on the Eli Manning bit from 2022 where he wore prosthetics and tried out for Penn State football as a walk-on. Powell plays the titular character, who becomes Powers to avoid the realities of being disgraced quarterback Russ Holliday. Steve Zahn and Perry Mattfeld co-star in the series, which is co-written and co-produced by Powell and Michael Waldron (Loki) with Peyton and Eli Manning on board as producers.

Even with his meteoric rise, there's one role that Powell won't consider. During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter to promote Chad Powers, Powell had the best possible answer when asked if he thought about the iconic James Bond being added to his filmography.

"I’m Texan. A Texan should not play James Bond," Powell said of the role. "My family and I joke around, I can play Jimmy Bond, but I should not be playing James Bond. Get an authentic Brit for that job. That’s who belongs in that tuxedo."

Ok, but have we thought about a Jimmy Bond movie?
