HARTFORD, Vt. (WCAX) - Police say one person is dead, another is injured and no arrests have been made after an incident in Hartford early Thursday morning.

A 911 caller reported a disturbance at a home on Verna Court off the VA Cutoff Road at about 3:50 a.m.

Officers found one person dead at the home and another injured. The surviving victim was rushed to the hospital with injuries that did not appear life-threatening.

Investigators say no arrests have been made, but they believe this was an isolated incident with no larger threat to the community.

Police did not describe the nature of the incident or what caused the victims’ injuries.

They have not yet released the victims’ names and say the investigation is still in its earliest stages.
