Authorities are searching for two missing brothers, ages 2 and 10, who are possibly searching for their birth parents in South Los Angeles early Thursday morning.

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department said dispatch received a call just before 2 a.m. for two missing kids in the area of W. 3rd Street and S. Virgil Avenue. Deputies began canvassing the area for the kids, whose names were not made available to KTLA as of 7 a.m.

Details are limited, but preliminary information indicates that the boys are brothers and may have left home on their own accord.

Unconfirmed reports say their guardians are concerned that the children are in search of their birth parents, who purportedly reside in the 1500 block of W. 52nd Street. The location is about 7 miles from their own home, a distance that the
