Los Angeles is likely to see near record breaking triple digit temperatures, as a dangerous multi-day heat wave continues Thursday through the weekend, with significantly heightened fire threats and heat-related illnesses.

“Heat advisories cover the interior sections of the coast and heat warnings cover the rest of the interior,” according to the National Weather Service. ”Only the beach areas will not have dangerous heat.”

Thursday and Friday are going to be the hottest days said NWS forecasters and the valleys and deserts will easily reach triple digits, downtown LA and San Luis Obispo will see 90s and high 70s and low 80s near the beaches.

An extreme heat warning will be in place from 11 a.m. Thursday to 9 p.m. Saturday for most of the area.
