Lakeshore has laid down a blueprint for the future of housing.
Council voted last week to approve several initiatives aimed at boosting supply and managing growth across the municipality.
The package of measures — tied to a $7-million federal grant — will guide how the town meets its target of nearly 900 new homes by 2028, and how it balances the demand for growth with the priorities of residents.
Mayor Tracey Bailey said the decisions reflect the urgency of the work ahead.
“Housing is one of our top priorities and we are thrilled to see these critical initiatives move forward,” Bailey said in a statement.
