New Albany's Harvest Homecoming Festival will not feature amusement rides in 2025, organizers announced in a social media post Aug. 21 .

"We are excited to highlight what makes Harvest truly unique — local food, live entertainment, arts and crafts, and family-friendly activities that reflect the spirit of our community," organizers said in the post. "We appreciate your continued support and look forward to celebrating Harvest Homecoming together."

Additional details regarding the reason for the change were not made available. Organizers have not yet responded to a request for comment.

In May, festival organizers announced stricter security and safety efforts for the 2025 event, which is set for Oct. 9-12.
