INDIANAPOLIS — A former bail bondsman in Indianapolis has been convicted of human trafficking for exploiting female inmates .
Marian County Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced Thursday, Aug. 21 that Anthony Stout, 57, of Indianapolis, was convicted of 13 counts for extorting female inmates by using his position as a bail bondsman to exchange sexual acts for bonds.
Stout was convicted of the following charges:
Stout exploited and coerced multiple women to perform sexual acts in exchange for bonds. If they refused, he would threaten to kill them or revoke their bonds. This dates back to December 2017.
