OLYMPIC skier Eileen Gu said she was injured while training in New Zealand.
Gu, 21, said she was involved in "a very terrible accident" and blamed "human error."
According to the South China Morning Post , she announced her injury on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform.
The report added that she was taken to the hospital on a stretcher and eyewitnesses said it looked serious.
Gu flew to Christchurch for further evaluation but does not know the extent of her injuries yet.
It comes just months before the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina next February.
She posted a cryptic message about the circumstances around the accident.
Gu wrote, "Unfortunately, a very terrible accident occurred yesterday due to human error.
"I hope I can return to the snow soon, but I’m still waitin
