CHILLICOTHE — A Chillicothe man was issued a summons after allegedly pointing a BB gun at another man during a confrontation over a dog on Wednesday, August 20.

According to police reports, the complainant told officers he was walking his dog near King and Liberty streets when he was approached by a man later identified as 20-year-old Aiden Gragg. The complainant said Gragg questioned whether the dog belonged to him, which led to a heated verbal exchange.

The two men parted ways but later crossed paths again near 617 Liberty Street. The complainant reported that Gragg pointed a rifle-style BB gun at him, saying, “I am a good shot.” The man, who was legally carrying a firearm, said he briefly unholstered his weapon but quickly realized Gragg’s gun was not real.
