Minnesota United has found a forward to help backfill with the expected exit of Tani Oluwaseyi.
The Loons are finalizing the signing of Momadou Dieng, a 21-year-old Senegalese forward who has been playing with the Hartford Athletic, a source told the Pioneer Press. The transfer fee for Dieng is reportedly in the ballpark of $300,000, per the Blazing Musket.
Dieng would join Austrian attacking midfielder Dominik Fitz as known Loons acquisitions at the summer transfer window deadline on Thursday evening.
Dieng has scored nine goals and added two assists in 1,582 minutes in the USL Championship this season. He had 11 goals in 1,824 minutes a year ago. He can provide depth behind remaining striker Kelvin Yeboah, as Oluwaseyi is expected to leave for Villarreal before the La Liga transfer wi
