BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (PIX11) --- Two boys are accused of stabbing a man in a Brooklyn park Tuesday after he asked the youngsters to stop harassing a small dog, police said.
The 41-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen and armpit in Maria Hernandez Park near Starr Street and Irving Avenue in Bushwick at around 7:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.
The victim confronted the two boys, ages 12 and 15, after he noticed they were bothering the pup. The argument then escalated before the duo allegedly attacked the man, police said. It was unclear if the man was the dog owner.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The boys were arrested shortly after the incident and charged with assault, cops said. The 15-year-old was additionally charged with criminal possession of a weapon and men
