KILLEEN, Texas / CHICAGO, Ill. (FOX 44) - Detectives with the Killeen Police Department's Robbery-Homicide Unit have announced the arrest of a 16-year-old suspect in connection with a homicide.

The department previously said the offender was found hiding in Chicago, Illinois, on July 21 and was arrested for the outstanding court order charging him with the murder of Kaizen Amere Simmons. He was extradited back to Texas and was awaiting trial. The United States Marshals Service's Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the United States Marshals Service in Chicago assisted in this apprehension.
