The Tennessee Highway Patrol is responding to an active shooter situation reported at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, the agency shared on social media Thursday.
Details of the incident are scarce, with no reporting available as to the number of casualties, if any. A social media post from the Tennessee Highway Patrol includes photos showing dozens of members of law enforcement responding to the incident.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is joined by officers with Tennessee Homeland Security and local law enforcement, the latter of which is “leading the investigation,” the Tennessee Highway Patrol said.
“Still gathering facts and they will have official info soon,” the post reads.
