CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland Water staff rescued a dog on Wednesday that was trapped against the wall along the river.

According to a Facebook post, while on an educational boating trip to Cleveland’s 5-Mile Crib, passengers spotted a dog trapped against the wall.

A Cleveland Water employee and members of the boat’s crew hopped out of the boat and were able to rescue the dog.

They named the dog “River.”

River was taken to a nearby animal hospital for further evaluation.
