Cracker Barrel’s new streamlined logo is getting some harsh criticism from customers.

The southern homestyle restaurant chain with country stores unveiled a simplified logo with the launch of a new menu on Aug. 19.

Cracker Barrel’s “All the More,” campaign spotlights a refreshed restaurant remodel" and “an enhanced brand look and feel,” according to a press release.

“The updated visuals will appear across menus and marketing collateral, including the fifth evolution of the brand’s logo, which is now rooted even more closely to the iconic barrel shape and word mark that started it all,” the company said.

The new logo retains Cracker Barrel’s gold and brown color palette but removes the man, known as Uncle Herschel, who was seated next to a wooden barrel.
