AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - News 12 meteorologists have issued a FIRST ALERT for Friday and Saturday.

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible, so a flood watch is in effect for CSRA from Friday morning through Saturday night.

Storms will be moving in Thursday and Thursday night. Then periods of heavy rainfall are expected to develop along a stalled out surface front through the day on Friday, lasting through late Saturday night.

Affected areas include Burke, Columbia, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Aiken, Bamberg, Barnwell, Central Orangeburg, Edgefield, McCormick, and northwestern and southeastern Orangeburg counties.
