Delaware Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester joined with officials from Delaware Technical and Community College (DTCC) to cut the ribbon for a new child development center at the Stanton campus on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

Funding for the $7.2 million project was provided mostly through the American Rescue Plan passed by Congress during the pandemic, along with private donations.

"Those funds allowed local investments in key infrastructure projects throughout the country and this center was one of them," said Delaware Technical and Community College President Mark Brainard.

The Stanton campus was the only one of DTCC's four main campuses without a child development center.

The center will be available to DelTech faculty, staff and students, as well as the general public.
