A dad in Yorkshire who was beaten with a crowbar by a masked gang inside his own home have killed one of the intruders to protect his two children and partner.

The man, who has not been named, stabbed an armed intruder to death after a gang of six masked men burst into his home in Selby, North Yorkshire.

Forced to defend himself and his terrified family after he began to be beaten with fists and a crowbar, the father-of-two grabbed a man and, in the struggle, stabbed one of the intruders, Yorkshire Live reports .
