Police have released CCTV images after a man's nose was broken when he was attacked in an Asda in Liverpool.

Officers believe the individual pictured may be able to help thir investigation into the incident. According to the force, someone is understood to have rammed into the victim's trolley in the vegetable aisle.

Merseyside Police received a call which said at around 1.50pm on Monday, July 14 a man was assaulted in the supermarket on Breckfield Road South in Walton.

The man, who is in his 40s, was reportedly shopping when he left his trolley to select produce in the vegetable aisle of the supermarket. While doing so, a man approached the victim’s trolley and rammed it with his own, the Liverpool Echo reports .
