Houston Texans safety Jimmie Ward was arrested on accusations of physically and sexually assaulting the mother of his child while under the influence of crystal meth in the presence of their child, according to Harris County court records obtained by the New York Post .

Ward, 34, who was a captain for the Texans in 2024, was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge for choking Cristy West , his ex-girlfriend of several years, and re-arrested two weeks ago after testing positive for alcohol, which violated the conditions of his bond. The safety is now facing a civil suit seeking more than $20 million in damages, with West represented by attorney Tony Buzbee , who famously represented the dozens of accusers who claimed sexual assault against former Texans and current Cleve
