CHARLES TOWN — A late-morning shooting on Tuesday, Aug. 20, left one man injured and police searching for a suspect now wanted on multiple charges.

According to the Charles Town Police Department, officers were in the area of West Liberty Street around 11:48 a.m. when they heard gunfire. Responding immediately, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers administered first aid until emergency medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
