LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

JCPS students will be able to have fresh milk with their lunches again starting next week.

All fresh milk was removed from schools within the district on Wednesday after a "quality issue" was identified.

JCPS officials said they did not believe there were any contaminants in the milk, just issues with quality and taste.

Some students at a few schools complained about the milk tasting funny.

"There may have been some students who drank the milk in question during breakfast and the earliest lunches today," JCPS said in an email.

After pulling all of the fresh milk from cafeterias, JCPS met with its milk vendor to discuss replacing the supply.
