WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – The volatility of a back injury can be frustrating, and no one felt that more than Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford while he was sidelined.
"It's challenging," Stafford said, speaking to the media for the first time Thursday since the start of training camp. "All I want to do is practice and play and get out there and be with the guys, and I wasn't able to do that."
Those feelings have gradually gone away over the course of this week as he returned to practice for the first time Monday and was a full participant the entire week. Stafford said he felt "a whole lot more like myself out there" today, and that "nothing's feeling uncomfortable" as he navigates the pocket against a Los Angeles pass rush that creates plenty of opportunities for him to move within it.
