HELENA — The wait for high school football is almost over.

All five Helena-area high school football teams: Helena Capital, Helena High, East Helena, Jefferson and Townsend, will kick off their seasons next Saturday.

Every team made the postseason in 2024, highlighted by the Capital Bruins, who won their 13th Class AA state championship last November with a win over Kalispell Glacier.

Change is a constant in high school football as rosters turn over every season, but each Helena-area team is dealing with heavy losses. Yet, cohesion is important, and all five programs return their head coaches, along with most of their respective coaching staffs.
