Cleveland Browns fans should steel themselves for the withering mockery, criticism and derision that will come prior to the start of the football season.
Not much is expected of the Browns and assorted predictions reflect that reality. The current over/under for number of games they will win stands at 4.5 with most betting entities. Is the derision earned? After a 3-14 season last year, it’s difficult to argue against it. After all, as legendary coach Bill Parcells stated: “You are what your record says you are.”
By that standard the Browns are lower than mediocrity. But I’m from the camp that you never base future success on past results. Some might consider that.
A new ESPN ranking based on team watchability , however, ranks the team dead last in that category: “No, thank you,”
