MAUSTON, Wis. (WKOW) -- A judge found probable cause on Thursday for the case against the man charged in a New Lisbon triple homicide to move forward to trial.
Virgil Thew, 48, is charged with multiple felonies , including three counts of first-degree intentional homicide and three counts of hiding a corpse. He is accused of killing his live-in girlfriend and two girls in his care and hiding their bodies in a locked bedroom in December 2024.
In court on Thursday, Thew waived his right to a preliminary hearing, according to court records. A judge bound his case over for trial.
Thew is scheduled to be in court again on Oct. 29 for an arraignment. During that hearing, he will formally enter a plea for the first time as to the charges filed against him.
