RAYTOWN, Mo. (KCTV) - Charges have been filed against an Independence man in connection with an early-morning kidnapping in Raytown.

Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Friday, Aug. 15, indicate that Donale L. West, 35, of Independence, has been charged in connection with an alleged kidnapping.

A probable cause statement filed by the Raytown Police Department revealed that just after 5 a.m. on Thursday, dispatchers received a 911 call. A witness reported her friend was being held against her will.
