CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) -- Additional mosquitoes in Centre County have tested positive for the West Nile Virus, Centre County Planning and Community Development Office reports.

Recently collected mosquito samples in both Rush Township and State College Borough have tested positive for the disease. Patton, Harris, and College Townships previously had mosquito samples test positive at the end of July and the beginning of Aug.

Staff with the Centre County Mosquito Disease Control Program are currently performing larval control, additional mosquito surveillance and sampling. Stormwater managements are also routinely monitored by the staff as well.
