MONONA, Wis. (WMTV) - The Monona Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a vehicle that was allegedly involved in several reckless driving incidents that took place early Thursday morning.

According to a release from the city’s police department, just before 12:30 a.m., authorities were notified of a vehicle that allegedly avoided officials on E. Washington Avenue in Madison.

Later, an MOPD officer saw a vehicle matching the description heading southbound on Monona Drive speeding at 70 mph in a 30 mph zone.

The MOPD officer attempted to pull the driver over. Authorities said the suspect did not follow orders and police started to chase the suspect.

During the pursuit, officers put down spike strips several times.
