The Washington Commanders are battling a contractual dispute with one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. New reports have given a new update on how much money Terry McLaurin is asking the team to give him.
According to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic, Terry McLaurin is asking for “more than DK Metcalf.” The new Steelers wideout got a four-year, $132 million extension. That would put McLaurin on the top 5 of highest paid receivers in the NFL.
On a per annum base, McLaurin would earn $33 million on average per season. However, the team is looking more of a contract along the lines of Courtland Sutton. Denver signed him to a four-year, $92 million, which puts him on $23 million per year. There is a $10 million gap between both parts.
The gap is not as big to be a deal-breaker
